We're pleased to share that we've successfully completed a Series A funding round of $5.2 million led by early-stage investor Insignia Ventures Partners. This investment brings Fluid's total funding to $7 million, including a previous seed round of $1.8 million from Iterative and New Stack Ventures.
With this new funding, Fluid plans to enhance its product capabilities by introducing new features that will simplify B2B payment processes and assist B2B businesses in managing their finances more effectively.
Beyond product enhancements, Fluid also plans to expand its network of suppliers, welcoming businesses from diverse industries onto its platform. By onboarding a wider range of suppliers onto its B2B payment platform, Fluid will create a more comprehensive and diverse marketplace for B2B buyers, and offer greater choice and flexibility in their procurement processes.
In addition to these initiatives, we further plan to strengthen our risk and engineering teams through our funding and build infrastructure that can handle the increasing volume of B2B transactions.
Fluid's mission is to simplify the complexities of traditional B2B payment processing often associated with business payments. Our digital payment platform allows suppliers to offer flexible payment terms, that drive higher conversion rates and foster customer loyalty - while providing upfront payments for improved cash flow management. With product features like instant credit approvals, automated invoicing, and real-time payment tracking, Fluid simplifies B2B transactions and optimizes financial management for all parties involved.
The combined experience of our leadership team - Trasy Lou Walsh (former regional general manager at Atome and general manager at Uber), Steven Li (former head of product at Coupang Pay and Atome), and Ruoyun Yang (former head of Asia at Lendable), further strengthens our commitment to modernizing the B2B marketplace.
Yinglan Tan, Founding Managing Partner at Insignia Ventures, acknowledged the widespread challenges of B2B payment processing and praised Fluid's customer-centric approach. He highlighted the platform's flexible integrations, proprietary credit risk management, and instant settlement capabilities as key differentiators.
This recognition is underscored by Fluid's inclusion in the Forbes Asia 100 to Watch list, a testament to its innovative approach and potential for growth. As one of only 15 Singapore-based companies to make the list, Fluid is proud to be at the forefront of transforming the B2B payments landscape.
